While the majority of eating places in Sumbawa Besar are the usual local warung serving goat stews and sate, there are two fantastic options on Jalan Hasanuddin: Aneka Rasa Jaya, at no. 14, serves an excellent menu including "insipid rice", "soft corn prawn" and "Chinese bowels cooking"; and Ingkang Sae Rumah Makan, two doors down, has the best food in Sumbawa; a full meal with beer is likely to be around Rp25,000.
